Cases of measles are high – make sure short patient name is vaccinated
The number of measles cases in your area is high right now.
Measles spreads easily and can lead to serious health problems, including:
- pneumonia
- meningitis
- blindness
- seizures (fits)
Having the MMRV vaccination is the best way to prevent measles. It also protects against mumps, rubella and chickenpox, or varicella.
2 doses of the MMRV vaccination gives lasting protection against all these illnesses.

We’re offering catch-up vaccinations
If your child has had 2 doses of the MMR vaccine (the vaccination available before the introduction of MMRV), they will be fully vaccinated.
If your child has not had 2 doses of the MMR vaccine, we’d like your consent to vaccinate them with the MMRV vaccine at location name on next session dates.
The vaccination is safe, quick and free.
If you’re not sure how many doses your child has had, having further doses will not cause any harm. If you’re sure your child has had 2 doses, please confirm this using the consent request form (the link is below).
Large international studies over the past 20 years have shown there is no link between the MMR vaccine and autism.
